The Ukulele is a beautiful instrument that sounds good even when a four year old strums it. The strings are easy to push down, chords are simple to learn (sometimes only ONE finger) and it’s easy to pack around to play on road trips or with friends. In Ukulele at Voetberg Music Academy, Emily will take you from knowing nothing about your instrument, to learning your first 13 songs, 9 chords, and technical exercises. You will gain the ability the play the ukulele for the rest of your life!

Meet Your Instructor!
Emily Jo Booher grew up surrounded by music. Whether playing alongside her siblings, serving in her local church, or sharing songs with villagers in South America, where she has served as a missionary, she plays with excellence to the glory of God.
A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Emily adapts her playing to complement any setting. On the ukulele, she can dazzle with expressive solos or enrich a band’s arrangement with a steady, supportive rhythm. Emily loves to interact with her students in the community page and you will often find her commenting on their work and cheering them on.
When she is not traveling the world, Emily resides in Sisters, Oregon, where she continues to make music and play an active role in her family’s business.

When does the course start and finish?
The course is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish. You will receive one lesson per week to encourage consistency but once the lesson is released you have access to it until you unsubscribe.
How long do I have access to the course?
Voetberg Music Academy is a subscription based online academy. You will have access to this course on any and all devices you own and will be charged monthly as long as you are subscribed to the course.
What age-range is this course directed at?
We recommend this course for anyone 8 years old to 108 years old. Younger students will need more parental guidance.
